SMS / Text Messaging Terms

These SMS Terms describe OnlyHOA's text-messaging program for account verification (MFA / one-time passcodes) and account notifications. They are referenced by OnlyHOA's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and are written for A2P 10DLC carrier compliance (Sinch, brand BJ1XU8D).

Program Description

By providing your mobile number and opting in, you consent to receive recurring automated text messages from OnlyHOA for account verification and notifications. Consent is not a condition of using the Platform. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for assistance. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Email-based multi-factor authentication is always available as an alternative. You may use the OnlyHOA Platform fully without enabling SMS.

Message Types You May Receive

  • Account Verification: One-time passcodes used to confirm a sign-in, a sensitive account change, or a phone-number change.
  • Account Notifications: Operationally relevant alerts about your OnlyHOA account, such as approval status, important communications from your community administrator, and security advisories.

OnlyHOA does not send marketing or promotional SMS under this opt-in. Any future marketing SMS program would require a separate, distinct opt-in.

Frequency, Rates, and Carriers

Message frequency varies depending on your account activity. Message and data rates may apply per your wireless carrier's plan. Supported carriers include all major United States networks. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How to Opt Out

You may opt out at any time using either of the following methods:

  • Reply STOP to any SMS message from OnlyHOA. You will receive a final confirmation message and will not receive any further SMS messages from this program.
  • Toggle SMS off in your Profile → Security settings.

Opting out via STOP is honored for every message category, including account-verification messages. Once you opt out, you may continue to use the Platform; account verification will fall back to email-based methods.

How to Get Help

Reply HELP to any SMS message from OnlyHOA to receive a short auto-response with our brand identifier and support contact. For non-emergency support questions, email support@onlyhoa.com.

To opt back in after opting out, reply START from the previously opted-out mobile number, or re-enable SMS in your Profile → Security page. A new ConsentRecord is written each time you opt in.

Privacy and Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in consent with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Your mobile number is processed for the purposes described in this document and the OnlyHOA Privacy Policy. We maintain an append-only consent audit log for every opt-in and opt-out event, including timestamp, source, and IP / user-agent metadata, as required for A2P 10DLC compliance.

Changes to These SMS Terms

OnlyHOA may update these SMS Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-Platform notification and/or email to registered account holders. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the date of the most recent revision. Continued participation in the SMS program after the effective date of any modification constitutes acceptance of the revised SMS Terms.
